Brooklyn Murder Suspect Arrested by NYPD

NEW YORK- An ongoing investigation led to the arrest of Orette Williams, 37, residing at 162 Troy Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, on Thursday, August 10. Williams faces charges of murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.

On the night of Thursday, August 3, around 11:54 PM, law enforcement responded to a 911 call regarding a male victim with a gunshot wound at 506 Warwick Street. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of a borough-related precinct. Officers found an unidentified male wounded by a gunshot to his left arm.

Emergency Medical Services transported the injured individual to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation continues.

The deceased is identified as O’Dane Shaw, 23, of Brooklyn, NY.
