Highspire Police Arrest Husband for Assaulting Wife Inside Home

HIGHSPIRE, PA – The Highspire Borough Police Department confirmed the arrest of Adam Lee Runion on Wednesday.

 On Monday, July 31, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lumber and Market Street following a domestic violence report.

The victim, Runion’s wife, suffered injuries after being assaulted in their home.

Runion had fled the scene before the police’s arrival. An arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday, August 1.

The charges against Runion include strangulation, simple assault, and driving with a suspended license. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the police at 717-939-9866 ext. 1105 or 717-558-6900.
