Man Killed in Columbus Home Invasion

COLUMBUS, OH – Shermon Lindsey Jr., 46, was fatally shot during an apparent home invasion on the east side of Columbus early Wednesday morning.

Columbus police responded to the incident at 12:54 a.m. in the 1200 block of Elderwood Avenue in Beechwood.

Lindsey was pronounced dead at the scene by 1:07 a.m.

Two suspects are believed to be involved, and three other victims were present during the incident.

One adult victim was attacked and later hospitalized, while the other two, an adult and a juvenile, remained unharmed. The motive behind the robbery remains unclear.
