South Jersey Grandmother Has Been Missing for 12 Days

ATCO, NEW JERSEY – A small community southeast of Philadelphia is grappling with the mysterious disappearance of one of its residents, 62-year-old Norma Yates. The Atco native was last seen 12 days ago, and friends, family, and local law enforcement are growing increasingly concerned.

Known for her punctuality and close ties within the community, Yates’s absence was first noticed when she failed to show up for a coffee date with a friend the day after a neighborhood construction crew last saw her. Her family’s subsequent check at her home revealed her pocketbook and cell phone left behind, but no sign of Yates herself.

Neighbors, local businesses, and community members have joined forces with the Winslow Township Police Department in a coordinated effort to locate Yates.

Described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing around 130 pounds, and adorned with a distinct ladybug tattoo on her shoulder, Yates is a well-known figure in the West Atco area. Flyers bearing her image and description have been distributed throughout the community and local media channels.

The police department, acknowledging the growing concern, has made the investigation a top priority. They are urging anyone with information to reach out at 609-561-3300.
