Two Shot, One Dead in Sterling Place Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – On Thursday, August 10, at approximately 5:28 PM, police responded to 911 calls reporting a shooting involving two males at 1566 Sterling Place.

Upon arrival, officers found a 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the thigh.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) promptly arrived and transported both victims to Interfaith Medical Center. The 26-year-old male is reported to be in stable condition.

The 29-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. The deceased’s identity is being withheld until proper family notification is carried out.
