GREENSBURG, PA – Edgar Williams of Lower Burrell has been convicted by a Westmoreland County jury on Thursday.

Williams faced charges from two consolidated cases, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, unlawful contact, corruption of a minor, and possession of a weapon by a felon.

Williams, 42, was initially charged in 2020 after he lured a 10-year-old girl into his home and assaulted her.

A subsequent 2021 search of his residence uncovered four firearms, leading to additional charges, as Williams, a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning firearms.

District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli expressed gratitude to the Lower Burrell Police Department and Assistant District Attorney Judi Petrush for their roles in the case.
