93-Year-Old Woman Killed in Deadly Queens Fire

NEW YORK, NY – A fatal fire broke out on Friday, at approximately 1:37 p.m., in Queens at 98-01 101 Avenue.

The New York City Fire Department responded to the two-alarm fire and extinguished the blaze.

Unfortunately, 93-year-old Koo, Kam Mei, who was transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, was later pronounced deceased.

Additionally, a 67-year-old female was taken to the same hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. There were no other reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and will be assessed by the FDNY Fire Marshall. The investigation is still ongoing.
