Commercial Burglar Apprehended in Ocean Township

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Tuesday, August 1, at around 9:00 am, a report of a burglary on Berkeley Avenue led to the dispatch of Detective Steven Walker.

Surveillance footage showed a suspect entering a business and taking items.

Subsequent investigation by Detective Michael Legg identified the suspect as Mashon D. Wilson, 32, of Asbury Park, NJ.

Upon interviewing, Wilson confessed to the crime on Berkeley Avenue and another on Rt. 35.

He was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft and was later released on a summons, awaiting his court date.
