D.C. Man Arrested for July Shooting in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD – Anthony L. Green, 37, of Washington, D.C., has been taken into custody for attempted first-degree murder relating to a shooting on Saturday, July 15, in Silver Spring.

The incident happened around 1:54 p.m. when a male victim, with gunshot wounds, sought help from a fire station on Georgia Ave.

The victim’s injuries were deemed life-threatening.

Montgomery County Department of Police’s investigation disclosed that Green had been in an altercation with an individual when the victim intervened.

During this, Green allegedly shot the victim. Detectives identified Green as the suspect and secured an arrest warrant by Tuesday, July 25. By Monday, July 31, Green was arrested in Washington D.C. for unrelated charges.
