State Police Seek Leads in 2021 Murder Cold Case

FRANKFORD, DE – The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the 2021 murder of 33-year-old Dioandre “Onnie” Gibbs from Lincoln, Delaware.

The incident transpired in Frankford on May 18, 2021.

Around 3:35 p.m. on the aforementioned date, both the Frankford Police Department and troopers were dispatched to Honolulu Road and Kauffman Lane following reports of a shooting.

On arrival, they found a 2012 gray Volkswagen CC crashed into a Honolulu Road residence. The driver, Gibbs, had been shot near the location and was trying to flee in his vehicle. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was declared deceased.

Delaware Crime Stoppers is now offering a $12,000 reward for any information that can help solve this case. Interested informants are asked to contact Detective B. McDerby.
