12-Year-Old Girl Injured After Man Smashes Glass Bottle Inside Subway Station

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating an individual linked to an assault.

The incident took place on Monday, July 31, around 8:15 PM.

As a 12-year-old girl was exiting the mezzanine of the Rockaway Avenue train station with her family, an unknown man threw a glass bottle on the ground.

The shattering glass caused lacerations to the girl’s left arm. The suspect fled the scene, and the girl was transported to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect was identified by police as a medium-complexioned male, standing around 6’ tall, of medium build and is bald. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
