Pennsylvania Man Murdered Inside Brooklyn Apartment Building

NEW YORK CITY, NY – In an incident on Saturday, at about 2:43 am, Dawuand Darrien, a 29-year-old from 12 Howley Circle, Piteston, PA, was shot.

The incident occurred in the Vernon Houses located at 303 Vernon Avenue.

Officers, upon reaching the scene, discovered Darrien in the building’s lobby, bearing a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was quickly taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County, where he was declared dead.

No arrests have been made by the New York City Police Department, and investigations are still ongoing.
