Suspect in July 5 Deadly Shooting in Salisbury Captured

SALISBURY, MD – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division continues to delve into the July 5, shooting incident on Chippewa Blvd.

The event led to one fatality and seven others injured. Following extensive investigations, on Friday, a search and seizure warrant was served in the 400 block of Bailey Lane.

The main suspect, Kairee Daquan Vanlandingham, 22, was arrested for firearm-related offenses. He confessed to using a firearm during the July 5 incident.

Vanlandingham, being a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms. He was charged with assault 1st degree, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and other charges. The investigation remains active, and more charges and arrests may ensue.

Maryland Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to further arrests and convictions related to this case. The public is as to reach out with any relevant details.
