Double Shooting in Northeast D.C. Claims One Life

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Homicide Unit of Washington, D.C. Metro Police is investigating a fatal shooting from Saturday night in the Northeast D.C. region, where two men were shot. One of the victims died, and the other was critically injured in the shooting.

Shortly before 11 pm, the police were summoned to a reported shooting on the 1500 Block of Kenilworth Avenue. They found two men with gunshot injuries; one was declared dead on-site. The other individual has been admitted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, with no updates on his status currently.

Until relatives are informed, the deceased’s name is being kept private.

Police have issued an alert for a light-complexioned Black male with dreads. He’s seen in a white shirt or tank top, dark shorts, and white footwear. He might be associated with a white Durango having tinted windows.
