Fatal Shooting In D.C. Leaves 71-Year-Old Dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 71-year-old man’s shooting death in Northeast, D.C., yesterday morning is currently under investigation by detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch.

Officers were alerted to a shooting on the 800 block of 10th Street at about 11:24 am. When they arrived, they found an adult male who had been shot. Police found the victim had no signs consistent with life. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

71-year-old Eddie Curtis, of Northeast, D.C, was identified as the victim.
