Man Pleads Guilty in Seaside Park Motel Stabbing Incident

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – On Tuesday, Porfirio Serrano-Cruz, 40, of Seaside Heights, admitted to his involvement in a stabbing that occurred last year in Seaside Park.

Serrano-Cruz entered his guilty plea before the Honorable Kimarie Rahill, J.S.C.

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 5:15 a.m., Seaside Park Police Department officers attended a residence on O Street following a 911 distress call. Upon arrival, they found a 39-year-old male with numerous stab wounds.

He was urgently transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and later discharged after successful treatment.

A coordinated investigation involving the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, the High Tech Crime Unit, and the Seaside Park Police Department pointed to Serrano-Cruz as the assailant.

He was arrested on the same day by the Seaside Heights Police Department and has remained in Ocean County Jail since his capture.
