NORTH BERGEN, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Angel Chavix, a 25-year-old framer from North Bergen, on charges of sexual contact and endangering a child’s welfare.

The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Fairview Police Department.

On Friday, July 28, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office informed the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit about an alleged child sexual assault.

The investigation revealed that Chavix had assaulted a child under 13 in Fairview, NJ. Consequently, on Friday, Chavix was arrested in Fairview and charged with second-degree sexual contact and third-degree endangering a child’s welfare.

He is currently held at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his court appearance in Hackensack, NJ.
