Police Investigating After 83-Year-Old Woman Shoved to Ground, Robbed

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect involved in a robbery at 1483 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn.

On Wednesday, August 9, around 11:15 AM, an 83-year-old woman was inside a store when an unknown male approached her and forcibly took her handbag. This caused her to fall to the floor. The suspect fled north on Nostrand Avenue, taking the bag which contained money and a cellphone. Thankfully, the victim was not injured during the encounter.
