Shooting in Upper Darby Township Leaves One Injured

UPPER DARBY TOWNSHIP, PA – Township police were summoned to the 900 block of East Baltimore Avenue on Sunday, moments before 1 p.m., following reports of a gunshot victim.

The male victim had been shot in the abdomen.

Witnesses shared with the police that a small gray car was seen speeding away from the scene, heading over the Church Lane Bridge.

Subsequently, the bridge was temporarily closed due to police activity and two different types of shell casings were found.

Descriptions of the assailant were broadcasted, describing him as a Black male in his early 30s with a beard, donned in a white shirt and black jeans. Later, a public announcement by the township police stated the bridge’s reopening shortly after 2 p.m.
