JERSEY CITY, NJ – Early morning on Saturday, at about 3:30 a.m., officers were alerted to a series of car burglaries after a resident reported an attempted break-in into her vehicle.

Surveillance footage captured a man trying to access multiple parked vehicles on the street.

Officers arrived to the vicinity of Gesner & Laurita St, where they spotted four teenagers, aged between 12-15, standing by an open car door.

Despite orders to halt, the group attempted to flee, leading to a brief confrontation and subsequent arrest. The teenagers now face charges of third-degree burglary. Additional charges, including third-degree aggravated assault on a Police Officer and fourth-degree resisting arrest, were filed against one of the juveniles.

All were released to their guardians, awaiting their scheduled Family Court appearance.
