Police Seeking Silver Truck Which Could Hold Clues in Shooting

ELSMERE, DE – A fatal home invasion on Elsmere Boulevard on April 16, at around 1 a.m., resulted in the death of a 31-year-old father. Elsmere police have recently turned their attention to a silver pickup truck that was seen driving nearby right after the shooting incident.

The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, was shot in the chest inside his residence on the first block of Elsmere Blvd. The perpetrators, who donned ski masks, appeared to have targeted the house intentionally.

The vehicle, which was captured on surveillance slowing down as the two masked suspects exited the house, may have vital information linked to the case. Authorities believe the driver might hold pivotal insights, potentially unaware of their importance to the investigation.

The event happened in close proximity to another shooting incident, which occurred less than a week prior, involving a 15-year-old boy at Joseph R. Walling Park.

Although Elsmere Police Chief Laura Giles stated that the two cases are unrelated, the proximity and nature of the events raise concerns.
