Suspect Arrested in Church Street Station Stabbing

QUEENS, NY – On August 5, the New York City Police Department arrested and charged Jakale Hall, an 18-year-old male residing at 123-21 Montauk Street.

Hall faces three counts of assault in connection with an incident.

The initial event took place on Saturday, July 29, approximately at 11:20 PM. A 39-year-old male was traveling on a southbound ‘Q’ train nearing the Church Avenue subway station when he engaged in a verbal dispute with two unknown individuals.

The situation quickly intensified, leading to the man being punched multiple times and subsequently stabbed twice in the abdomen. The assailants left the train at the Church Avenue station.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County and is currently in stable condition. The NYPD continues to seek information about the two individuals involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
