NEWARK, N.J. – Randi Barr, a 42-year-old resident of Vauxhall, New Jersey, was sentenced to 50 months in prison on Tuesday.

The sentence comes due to his involvement in a conspiracy targeting Asian and Asian-American homeowners for residential burglaries.

U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger made the announcement following the sentencing.

Between December 2, 2016, and March 20, 2019, Barr collaborated with others in a scheme that targeted Asian small business homeowners in several states.

In addition to his prison sentence, Judge Evelyn Padin ordered Barr to pay restitution and forfeit $127,661.
