Dog Treated After Fire at Toms River Mobile Home Park

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A structure fire broke out today at 32 Roberts Rd., Roberts Mobile Home Park, at approximately 11:45 am.

The fire, which occurred within a utility area inside the unoccupied mobile home, was promptly controlled by the Pleasant Plains Vol. Fire Department, Silverton Volunteer Fire Company, EEast Dover Fire Company, and Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department. They ensured no further extension of the fire or damage to surrounding units.

Initial assessments by the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention indicate the fire accidental. They are conducting a detailed investigation to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported among the fire department personnel or civilians. However, firefighters did locate one dog within the mobile home. The dog was removed and given emergency care on the scene before being taken to a local emergency veterinary hospital. The dog’s condition remains unknown.
