Three Charged in Violent Assault in Utica

UTICA, NY – Utica Police officers responded to an assault incident on Wednesday at around 7:50 AM near Cleveland Ave and Stark St.

According to the police report, a car filled with individuals reportedly assaulted a male. As officers arrived at the location, they noticed the suspect vehicle and victim and stopped the vehicle to investigate.

They learned that the vehicle’s occupants had had an altercation with the male in the Oneida Square area. This confrontation escalated as the assailants later approached the victim in the Saratoga St. area, dumping water on him before speeding away and returning to throw rocks at him, striking him repeatedly.

Eventually, the vehicle stopped, and the occupants exited to kick and punch the male. A witness contacted 911 to report the incident.

Due to his injuries, the male victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital by the Utica Fire Department.

The three occupants of the vehicle were transported to the Utica Police Department and were subsequently charged.

The suspects include Majesty Willis, 22; Tasha Ambrister, 24; and a 13-year-old male juvenile.
