Woodbury City Police Respond to Armed Altercation

Woodbury, NJ – On Tuesday, at 4:16 p.m., Woodbury City Police responded to a reported fight with weapons at Broad/Hess. The initial caller indicated two males were fighting with a potential handgun involved.

Upon officers’ arrival, no active fighting was observed, but witnesses confirmed an altercation, with at least one gunshot fired. The accused individual had left the scene in a vehicle shortly before.

Following an extensive investigation, which included witness interviews and the execution of search warrants, two men were identified and charged.

A 24-year-old Woodbury resident and a 43-year-old Clementon resident face charges of aggravated assault and weapons possession. Both have since been apprehended and are now in custody.
