Man Serious Injured by Attacker Inside Bronx Elevator

BRONX, NY – An assault occurred on Tuesday, August 8, inside 1600 Sedgwick Avenue’s elevator.

The 75-year-old male victim reported having a verbal altercation with an unknown male individual.

As the disagreement escalated, the individual punched and kicked the victim, causing significant injuries.

The victim was immediately rushed to Saint Barnabus Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The assaulter, described as a roughly 40-year-old male, about 5’6″ – 5’9″ in height, with a dark complexion and a slim build, remains at large.

The New York City Police Department seeks public assistance to ascertain his identity.
