Body of Man Found Inside Garbage Bag in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – On Saturday, the NYPD responded to a call of a man found dead, stuffed inside a garbage bag in the Bronx.

The discovery was made near Whitlock Avenue and Bruckner Blvd earlier this morning.

An unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive male was found inside a garbage bag, inside a cart at the the location. A 911 call to police was placed at 11:16 AM, leading to a response from law enforcement and EMS.

Upon arrival at the scene, emergency services found the male victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification.

EMS pronounced the individual deceased at the scene.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been tasked with determining the cause of death. Meanwhile, Detectives from the 41st Precinct are actively investigating this incident.
