MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Jeff A. Fernandez, 25, of Boonton, has been arrested and charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child for possessing Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM).

This arrest was the result of a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which pointed to video and image files purportedly showcasing the exploitation or abuse of minors.

Investigators determined that Fernandez had over 1,000 items of CSAM on an electronic device.

Following his arrest on Tuesday, he was released under the Criminal Justice Reform Act with pretrial release conditions including monitoring and restricted internet usage.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll extends his gratitude to the numerous departments involved in the investigation and encourages the public to report any relevant information to the Prosecutor’s Office.
