NYPD Seeking to Identify Suspects in Cypress Hills Attack

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Detectives investigating an assault and robbery in Cypress Hills on August 1st have released photos of two suspects wanted for the attack.

According to the police report, at around 9:15 p.m. that day, two victims, aged 35 and 51, were involved in a verbal altercation with two unknown individuals riding on a moped.

The confrontation escalated when both individuals dismounted their moped and approached the victims.

One of the individuals produced a knife, slashing the 35-year-old victim multiple times in the back.

The other individual assaulted the 51-year-old victim, causing him to fall and severely lacerate his head on a metal fence.

The suspects, described as males with dark complexions and thin builds, fled the scene on their moped, traveling southbound on Shepherd Avenue. The first suspect had large, black hair and was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and white sneakers. The second suspect was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

The 35-year-old victim refused medical attention, while the 51-year-old victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in stable condition.
