Robbery in Baltimore Turns Fatal

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A robbery turned fatal early yesterday morning when police were called to the 1000 block of South Curley Street at around 12:25 a.m.

Officers found a 57-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Darrell L. Benner, was pronounced dead by the medics on the scene.

According to the police, a 29-year-old male was robbed at gunpoint by three unidentified suspects. During the robbery, a 57-year-old relative pursued the suspects, only to be fatally shot as the assailants fled in the victim’s red Dodge Charger (MD tag #3FL1240).
