Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident Under Investigation in Secaucus

TRENTON, NJ – The Attorney General’s Office is examining a fatal motorcycle accident that happened on Wednesday, in Secaucus, NJ.

The incident took place after a motorcyclist reportedly fled a police traffic stop.

A Hudson County Sheriff’s officer had attempted to pull over the motorcyclist on County Avenue. However, the rider sped off northbound.

While escaping, the motorcyclist collided with an SUV at the intersection of County Avenue and Charles Street around 12:22 p.m.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike, sustaining grave injuries. He was declared deceased at Jersey City Medical Center at about 1:13 p.m. The SUV passengers remained unharmed. The inquiry continues, with no further updates currently available.
