Teen Charged for Burglary in Dover

DOVER, DE – A residential burglary in Dover led to the swift arrest of a 17-year-old male, thanks to the Delaware State Police’s rapid response.

On Friday, at around 11:00 p.m., troopers were called to a residence on Pinewood Acres Avenue in Pinewood Acres Mobile Home Park.

A 40-year-old woman, upon returning home, found that a window had been pushed in, the screen displaced, and a footprint was left on the siding of her home. Further investigation inside the residence revealed that an Apple watch was missing.

Detective work quickly identified the 17-year-old male from Dover as the suspect. Troopers proceeded to his residence and recovered the stolen Apple watch.The teenager was arrested and charged with Burglary Third Degree (Felony), Theft Under $1500, and Criminal Mischief Under $1000.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and subsequently released into the custody of his parent.
