Woman Shot in Head Thought She was Hit with Baseball Bat

Baltimore, MD – Police arrived at a call for a woman who thought she was struck in the head with a baseball bat only to find out she was hit by gunfire early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:18 a.m., a 26-year-old female reported being struck in the head with what she believed was a baseball bat in the 4800 block of Beaufort Ave.

Medics promptly transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After conducting medical tests, it was determined that the victim had been shot.

Northern District Detectives are investigating the incident and seeking information about the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact them at 410-396-2455.
