22-Year-Old Man Killed in Bronx Shooting

BRONX, N.Y. – A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in the Bronx early Sunday.

The NYPD received a distress call at about 4:05 a.m. regarding a man shot at the crossroads of Boynton and Watson Avenues in the Soundview area.

Responding officers discovered Joshtiers Mora, a resident of Bronx, with a gunshot wound to his torso.

Mora was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was later declared deceased. The events leading up to the shooting remain uncertain.

The NYPD has not made any arrests connected to this incident. They continue their investigation into the circumstances of this event.
