WILMINGTON, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 52-year-old Joseph Nygard of Wilmington for driving under the influence and theft on Friday.
Earlier this month, on the morning of August 13, a homeowner in Rehoboth Beach reported his Toyota Corolla stolen.
The car was later found towed after Nygard was arrested for DUI. Investigations revealed that Nygard had stolen the vehicle and was arrested for DUI before the theft was reported.
On Friday, Nygard surrendered at Troop 1 in Wilmington, where he faced multiple charges, including vehicle theft and theft under specific circumstances.
Nygard was then released on his own recognizance after arraignment.
