Crisfield Man Found Dead in Vehicle with Gunshot Wounds

CRISFIELD, MD – Kevin Lamont Jackson, a 34-year-old resident of Crisfield, was discovered deceased in a vehicle during the early hours of Sunday.

At about 2:30 a.m. on that day, officers from the Crisfield Police Department located Jackson in a parked vehicle off the road on the 100 block of Somers Cove.

While on routine patrol near Charlotte Avenue, officers approached the car to find Jackson in the driver’s seat with evident gunshot wounds. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the site.

The Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division was called in to process the scene and gather evidence after securing a search warrant.

The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken the lead in the investigation, following a request by the Crisfield Police Department. They’re receiving further support from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland Gun Center, and the Somerset County State’s Attorney’s Office.
