HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – Following a weeks-long narcotics investigation, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs Task Force arrested 38-year-old Robert Johnson of Jersey City on Friday, August 18, 2023.

Johnson is charged with multiple counts, including two counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute within 1,000 Feet of a School and within 500 Feet of Public Property, as well as two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The charges range from second to third-degree crimes.

The early morning operation saw the Gangs Task Force members, supported by the Hudson County Regional SWAT, executed a court-authorized search warrant at Johnson’s residence on Van Wagenen Avenue.

The search led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, heroin, and various drug paraphernalia. Adding to the situation, two children were found in the home during the court-authorized search.

Johnson was promptly arrested at his residence and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, pending his first court appearance, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
