Man, Woman Shot in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Two city residents of Rochester were injured in a shooting incident on East Avenue early Sunday morning.

Rochester Police Department officers responded to the location at 349 East Avenue just before 2 a.m. following reports of potential gunshots. Upon arrival, a group was seen dispersing from the scene, leaving the officers with no evidence of the shooting or any victims.

However, by 3:20 a.m. that day, two individuals arrived at nearby hospitals with gunshot injuries. Both were confirmed to have been present at the 349 East Avenue location earlier.

A 24-year-old male sustained gunshot wounds to his lower body, as did a 27-year-old female. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

As of now, Rochester Police Department has no details on any potential suspects. They ask anyone with information about this incident to contact them immediately by dialing 911.
