Mount Vernon Shooting Leaves Three Injured

MOUNT VERNON, NY – A shooting on the 300 block of South 4th Avenue in Mount Vernon resulted in three people being hospitalized.

The incident, which took place overnight, saw two of the victims suffer gunshot wounds.

On Sunday morning, access to the area was restricted by the Mount Vernon police and New York State Police, who were actively investigating.

Local resident, Ernesto Thermidor, noted the heightened police presence and barriers. Another resident, Faith Walters, was approached by officers seeking potential footage from her Ring camera, according to reports.

Walters mentioned a possible event on a neighboring street that could have escalated, but this has not been confirmed by officials. As of Sunday evening, no arrests have been made.
