SARATOGA COUNTY, NY – District Attorney Karen A. Heggen announced on Tuesday that Maurice Trichilo, a 34-year-old resident of Albany, has been sentenced to 4 ½ years in a state correctional facility.

The sentence also includes 2 years of post-release supervision. Trichilo was sentenced following his plea to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

The sentencing stems from an incident on November 10, 2022, in the Town of Ballston. Trichilo was apprehended as part of a broader investigation into drug trafficking across multiple counties.

A search warrant executed on his vehicle led to his arrest for possession of nearly a quarter-kilo of cocaine, estimated to have a street value of over $20,000.

District Attorney Heggen commended the work of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Narcotics Team in conducting a thorough investigation.
