Drunk Driver Dragged Victim While Fleeing Police

CAMBRIDGE, MD – Late on Saturday, CPD officers were called to the 700 block of Foxtail Drive regarding a motor vehicle collision involving injuries.

A report indicated that a person had been dragged by a car. While officers were on their way, they spotted a Ford Fusion fleeing the scene at high speeds. Following a vehicle chase, the car was stopped on the 500 block of Muir St.

The driver, identified as Anaja Lanae Height, 21, of Cambridge, MD, was found to be intoxicated.

 Investigations at the initial location indicated that Height had physically assaulted an individual before driving off, dragging another person with her vehicle for several feet.

Height faces multiple charges, including two counts of second-degree assault, DUI, and fleeing the scene. She was handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections with no bond option.
