Police Issue Warrant for Man Wanted in Fatal Hit and Run

PITTSBURGH, PA – An arrest warrant has been issued for Joseph Betha from Wilkinsburg, PA, concerning a fatal hit and run incident dated April 11.

Betha is now facing multiple charges, including Homicide by Vehicle and Involuntary Manslaughter.

In the initial incident, police arrived at Penn Avenue and Carnegie Place intersection after 10 p.m. An adult male victim, struck by a fleeing vehicle, was found in traumatic arrest and was declared dead by emergency medical technicians.

During the investigation, a vehicle suspected to be connected with the incident has been located.

The Collision Investigation Unit is actively seeking a green Honda minivan with potential front-end damage. The police asked anyone with information to call 9-1-1 immediately.
