Three Arrested for Illegal Gun Possession in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police’s 6th District Decentralized Community Action Team have arrested three individuals on multiple firearm-related charges. The arrests occurred on Wednesday, August 15, during a traffic stop near Montgomery Village Ave. and Arrowhead Rd.

Those arrested include 19-year-old Oliver Perez-Fierro of Montgomery Village, 19-year-old Osman Maldonado of Gaithersburg, and a 16-year-old also from Gaithersburg.

Officers conducted a search of a Black Honda Accord and discovered a black Privately Manufactured Firearm (PMF) along with multiple 9mm rounds. A subsequent search of Perez-Fierro yielded a loaded Glock 43 handgun also with multiple 9mm rounds.

All three suspects were transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Perez-Fierro and Maldonado have since been released on bond.

The Department of Police continues to investigate the case and the recovered firearms.
