Shootout Reported Just Blocks from Children’s Hospital

PITTSBURGH, PA – An active shootout erupted on North Mathilda Street and Jordan Way in the city’s Garfield neighborhood yesterday.

Pittsburgh Police, the bomb squad, and SWAT were on the scene, which is located just blocks away from UPMC Children’s Hospital.

The incident started when Allegheny County Sheriff’s deputies were serving an eviction notice. Sources have identified the barricaded suspect as William Hardison Sr., who claims to be a sovereign citizen.

Pittsburgh Montessori School and Obama Academy were locked down during the incident.

Two drones deployed by law enforcement were been shot down by the suspect. Over 100 shots have been fired, and a sheriff’s deputy has suffered a head injury. The SWAT attempted to negotiate with the suspect unsuccessfully.

The suspect, who was upset over an eviction was pronounced dead at 6:05 pm.
