Waldorf Resident Scores $50,000 Prize on Lottery Scratch-off

Money - Lottery winning jackpot.

Waldorf, MD — A Waldorf woman’s dedication to playing scratch-off games has paid off in a big way as she claimed a $50,000 prize from the Big Money scratch-off game.

With years of scratch-off experience under her belt, the Charles County resident’s loyalty finally led to her winning a substantial sum. The 57-year-old federal worker purchased the winning ticket and promptly scanned it to check its status. She couldn’t believe her eyes when the scanner confirmed her victory.

“I had to scan it two to three times just to make sure. I didn’t think it was real,” the winner exclaimed with a grin.

While she doesn’t have a specific favorite scratch-off game, she’s drawn to the newer releases and enjoys trying her luck on various games. With the $50,000 prize in hand, her immediate plan is to use it to pay off bills, a practical and prudent choice. Looking ahead, she aims to continue playing scratch-offs, hoping to get even closer to her retirement goals.

“Hopefully I can win again and get closer to retirement,” she said optimistically.

The winning ticket was purchased at Keller’s Market, located at 15624 Livingston Road in Accokeek, Prince George’s County. For selling the winning ticket, the store will receive a well-deserved $500 bonus.
