Boston Woman Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges in Roxbury

Roxbury, MA – At about 3:07 PM on Thursday, August 24, officers from the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Charlene Hammond, 47, of Boston. She faces multiple drug trafficking charges following an ongoing investigation in the area of Atkinson Street and Bradston Street.

Officers observed what they believed to be multiple street-level drug transactions and saw Hammond exit a tent. They were aware that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Hammond was placed into handcuffs without incident. A search of the tent revealed approximately 75 grams of Crystal Meth, 28 grams of Fentanyl, and 10 grams of Crack Cocaine.

Hammond has been charged with Trafficking of Class A, Trafficking of Class B, Two Counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C. She is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
