Cambridge Man Arrested for Stabbing Incident in Mattapan

Mattapan, MA – Roy Taylor, 66, of Cambridge, was arrested by officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) at 6:28 PM on Friday, August 25, on charges of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Mayhem.

Officers responded to 190 Westview Street after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they were informed that the suspect had been in an argument and had stabbed a victim before fleeing the scene in a motor vehicle. Working with the Cambridge Police Department, officers were able to locate and arrest Taylor.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Taylor is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
