Police Make Arrest in Niagra Street Slashing

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department reported an arrest made last Thursday concerning an assault that took place on August 11 on the 500 block of Niagara Street.

Around 5 p.m., Central district officers responded to a report of a face slashing.

The victim claimed that while getting a haircut, Juan Bonet Gonzalez, 39, of Buffalo, cut him with a razor and hit him with clippers.

Gonzalez was charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a class D felony.

The victim was treated for multiple lacerations at Buffalo General Hospital and released.
