Baltimore Area Woman Wins $50k on Pick 5 Ticket

Baltimore, MD – Victoria Sadler is convinced her luck is turning after claiming a second-chance prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters, only to win $50,000 later that day in a Pick 5 game.

The 59-year-old had just left the Lottery offices when she went to Royal Farms #159 across the street to place a $1 straight bet on the Pick 5 game for the August 10 midday and evening drawings. Sadler chose her grandson’s birthday digits, a strategy that had previously won her $25,000 almost a year ago. This time, her bet netted her a $50,000 prize.

Upon realizing her win, Sadler stated she was elated and promptly arranged to claim her prize. When asked about her plans for the money, she informed Lottery officials that most will go into savings and investments, and a portion will fund a family trip to Walt Disney World.

Royal Farms #159, located at 1801 Washington Boulevard, will also benefit from her win. The store is set to receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning $50,000 Pick 5 ticket.
